Title: Senior Enterprise Data Expert Services Specialist
Job Description
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for data modeling and design.
Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models for our Data Lakehouse environment.
Work closely with data engineers to implement data models in accordance with best practices and performance requirements.
Perform data profiling and analysis to ensure data quality, consistency, and integrity across various data sources.
Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and efficiency, considering factors such as data volume, query complexity, and system resources.
Provide guidance and support to other team members on data modeling best practices and standards.
Participate in code reviews, testing, and troubleshooting activities to ensure the reliability and robustness of data models.
Stay informed about emerging trends, technologies, and methodologies in data modeling and data management, and make recommendations for their adoption.
Document data models, schemas, and related processes to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration within the team and across the organization.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of data governance policies, procedures, and standards.
Job Qualification
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Proven experience in data modeling, database design, and data architecture, preferably in a Data Lakehouse environment.
Proficiency in data modeling tools and techniques, such as ER diagrams, dimensional modeling, and normalization.
Strong understanding of relational and non-relational database concepts, including SQL, NoSQL, and distributed data processing frameworks (e.g., Spark).
Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and related data services (e.g., S3, Azure Data Lake Storage, BigQuery).
Familiarity with data governance principles, data integration techniques, and ETL/ELT processes.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical data solutions.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
