Job Summary
The Senior Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the organization's IT infrastructure, ensuring its reliability, security, and scalability. This role involves leading infrastructure projects, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and providing strategic direction to improve IT systems and processes.
Key Responsibilities
Design and Maintenance:
- Design, implement, and maintain robust IT infrastructure solutions, including servers, networks, storage, and cloud environments.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and performance of all IT infrastructure components.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement and manage security measures to protect the IT infrastructure from cyber threats and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
Monitoring and Troubleshooting:
- Oversee the monitoring of IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance and availability.
- Lead troubleshooting and resolution of complex infrastructure issues, minimizing downtime and impact on business operations.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A master's degree is a plus.
- Minimum of 5-8 years of experience in IT infrastructure management.
- Proven experience in leading and managing IT infrastructure projects.
- Experience in a senior or managerial role is preferred.
- Proficiency in infrastructure technologies, including servers, networks, storage systems, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity principles and practices.
- Familiarity with virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V).
- Experience with infrastructure automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
