Overview of the job

The Senior Manager, BD and Partnerships will drive business growth by identifying and managing key partnerships, focusing on (1) international JVs, (2) strategic partnerships, (3) sales agencies, (4) product owners needing AI solutions, and (5) VCs with AI/ML challenges. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in corporate partnership development, strong business case acumen, and a proven track record of building successful relationships. International experience, especially in Asia, and expertise in digital business economics are essential.

In this role, you will:

  • Develop strategic partnerships for SERTIS, with a focus on enterprises that present an ability to align with SERTIS objectives;
  • Identify, justify by business case, and close BD opportunities, focusing on expanding corporate partnerships as JVs, commercial relationships, or Sales Agencies;
  • Cultivate relationships with key stakeholders and decision-makers within partner organizations to foster collaboration and maximize business value;
  • Lead efforts to identify new opportunities, develop strategies for partnership growth, and expand the company's presence across Asia;
  • Develop negotiation strategies, identify risk, and work with Legal teams to draft contracts and execute of partnership agreements;
  • Act as a strategic liaison between internal teams and external partners, ensuring SERTIS business objectives are operationalized;
  • Leverage insights and knowledge of the Asian market to drive innovative AI and data initiatives at scale

You'll be successful if you have:

  • Experience in corporate development or business development within large enterprise settings;
  • Proven track record of conceiving, developing and successfully managing enterprise partnerships (successful work at Meta, Google, Amazon, MS or related companies a plus)
  • Strong understanding of AI and data-driven solutions and products, and their application in business contexts;
  • International experience, particularly across the Asia-Pacific region, is crucial;
  • Strong negotiation, relationship management, and strategic planning skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple partnerships in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • English plus at least one Asian language at a business level proficiency or more;
  • A strategic mindset, problem-solving skills, and the ability to deliver results under pressure.
