Senior Packaging Engineer

Job Overview
UD Trucks is known for our pioneering technologies and products within the commercial automotive industry.
Packaging engineer of UD trucks will be taking care packaging design from end to end. To define, Approve, implement and optimize parts packaging solutions from supplier up to Packaging use point(both Goods receiving and KD markets) according to UDPS principle and get agreement and sign-off.
Responsibilities And Duties
[Create Packaging instruction]
- Design packaging for UD trucks plant.
- Ensuring parts quality by define the best Packaging Instruction according to UD Packaging standards
- Optimize unit load based on Total Logistic Cost rule
- Ensure optimization on inner dunnage and limit them to the strict need
[Create and approve special packaging]
- Draft the Prototypes, tests, verification and final design review
- Ensure implementation
- Decide on serial order, purchase and implementation of the packaging and coordination with plant and supplier
- Monitor packaging deliveries and implement Packaging in the expected logistic flow
[Packaging Improvement]
- Coordinate with other function in KMP implementation.
- Improve packaging to optimize with logistics flow.
- Feedback packaging issue that affect quality of part to supplier and improve.
- To coordinate plant validations (Quality/ Production/ LGE) of packaging solutions proposed by Logistics Services
- Lead the cross functional packaging meeting

Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master degree in Industrial Engineering, Materials Handling Engineering, Mechanical Engineering,
- Preferred experience and knowledge
- Packaging Design & Management knowledge
- Supply chain knowledge
- Business case experience
- Excel Knowledge
- Virtual 3d drawing knowledge
- Language skills : Fluent English
