Job Description

  • Provide 1st and 2nd line support to BAU incidents and provide the necessary support to the Production Systems Group (PSG) team
  • Introduce new markets into the trading systems which involves SQL and config changes across multiple databases and components
  • Follow the standard release procedure to roll out changes to the PSG and QA teams using Jupyter notebooks and Ansible
  • Ensure incidents and problems are appropriately tracked in the JIRA system
  • Mentor junior members of the team and contribute ideas to improve existing processes
  • Contribute to root cause analyses and work with development teams to prioritize and release fixes
  • Monitor data vendor change notifications and analyze and assess impact by working in conjunction with the development teams
  • Improve productivity, supportability, and efficiency by automation of repeatable tasks using tools and scripting preferably in Python
  • Create and improve system and process documentation (Run books, Known Errors, Process Workflows, etc)
  • Maintain pro-active communication with relevant stakeholders including external vendors during incident management
