Job Summary
The full technology planning engineer will be responsible for all aspects of project development and management for technology systems in new build and renovation projects for hotels and multi-dwelling buildings. The ideal candidate will ensure projects are engineered in a cost-effective, profit-producing manner fair to the company and the client. This role reports to the Manager of Building Technology Solutions.
Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Provide design consulting services that comply with brand, customer and Allbridge best practices and standards
- Build schedules including all phases of a project and provide engineering, systems design and product knowledge
- Directly involved in quoting and engaging vendors, for quotes as necessary, to ensure accurate pricing and engineering
- Prospect with developers and owners to develop a pipeline of new build hotel or mixed-use projects
- Review architectural plans and work with the engineering team to build comprehensive technology plans
- Build a systems design to efficiently address ownership preferences and brand requirements based on our guidance as a partner
- Deliver a contract with a firm contract value
- Participate in Owner, Architect and Consultant calls until project is handed off to the PM
- Educate key influencers on our unique capabilities Influencers include Architects, General Contractors, Hotel Operators/Management Companies, Brands
- Maintain a close working relationship with key internal and vendor partners
- Update BOMs, designs and drawings as necessary for revisions or changes to plans
- Consistently integrates Allbridge's core values into their everyday habits by treating all customers, internal and external, professionally, honestly and respectfully
- Accepts ownership and accountability of position responsibilities and strives to deliver results for customers that establish high standards, credibility and quality performance
- Other miscellaneous duties as assigned by management
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years in a Sales Engineer or Solution Architect role
- Confidence to comfortably speak and email to hoteliers, third party contractors and other customers
- Comfortable with Salesforce and MS Office Suite. We're looking for someone who can quickly become an expert
- Ability to lead teams
- Skilled at managing the unexpected things in a controlled manner
- Effective negotiation skills
- Great at organizing, prioritizing, and multitasking
- Experience selling smart technology (IoT) solutions is preferred
- Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods strongly preferred
- Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards is a plus
- Ability to travel up to 30%
Desired Qualifications
- Aruba Professional or Expert level certification, such as ACP, ACSP, ANCNA Campus Access, ACSX, CASX, CAMX
