Accountabilities:

  • Essential Functions
  • Test Process management
  • Test schedule optimization
  • Regular report of Lab test result to management
  • Responsible for the implementation of Company's Quality Plan
  • Verify and qualify the design to minimize product liability risks while maximizing end customer satisfaction.
  • Promote Continuous Improvement in product reliability.
  • Ensure that the test director and appropriate senior management are immediately informed of serious test issues.
  • Develop the new test method and new test fixture.
  • Coordinate with supplier resource

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Select, manage and develop the test team in SEA, deploying the Company's goals into the Lab organization.
  • Conduct periodic performance reviews of the test Team members, ensuring appropriate, frank and objective feedback to each test team member.
  • Ensure compliance to regulations and corporate policies and procedures.
  • Ensure the safety of Lab / test setup & facility wherever in SN lab or supplier lab
  • Ensures that the Test items in DQTP are aligned to the related standards, SN Product Specification or Drawing and customer specific requirements.
  • DQTP Review for New Project and ECN etc.
  • Key Component test plan & verification.
  • Jira/CAR review and communication with team for improvement, verification & closure.
  • New Test Fixture development per new requirement.
  • Test Equipment & Fixture management.
  • New Test Protocols generation.
  • Test data accuracy management.
  • Review and Approve Test Request
  • Test capacity definition for the Lab.
  • Test capacity development and technical support on Supplier Laboratory.
  • Test schedule management, optimize the test schedule per priority level and lab source.
  • Monitor the ORT process andreviewing weekly ORT Reporting from Supplier Lab
  • Monitor Ongoing Product performance and reliability, initiate Continuous Improvement activities in order to achieve/ exceed the defined Quality Metrics.
  • Provide test Director with regular reporting of Ongoing Product testing summary.
  • Support the NPD Testing, ensuring it reflects DFMEA and PFMEA. Deliver the test summary (or report) on time.
  • Support the Product Readiness activities for new products.
  • In conjunction with the appropriate senior management team, make final decision on product improvement.
  • Review of Customer return data to develop new test items (or fixture) to avoid the similar issue. Provide Test Engineering support for customer complaint investigation.

Hiring Requirements:

Experience:

  • 10 years+ working experience in a Laboratory environment.
  • Extensive experiences in Household Appliance testing.
  • 3 years+ experience in managing a Lab Team.
  • Experience in generating test protocols & evaluation of the equipment and fixture.
  • Working knowledge of IEC /UL/ASTM safety/ performance standards and applying the standards to verify safety margins during qualification process.
  • Demonstrated high level of engagement and self-motivation.
  • Strong communications and interpersonal skills: presents ideas in a style that is clear, fluent and to-the-point.
  • Action/result oriented: Achieves high level, sustainable performance and results; is bottom-line oriented; steadfastly pushes self and encourages others to grasp ownership for achieving timely, quality, agreed upon results; is highly energetic.
  • Demonstrated decision making capability: uses logic and insight to solve problems and create effective solutions.
  • Degree in a technical discipline e.g. Mechanical, Electronic, Electrical, Material, Industrial science or engineering.
