Job Summary:
As the Vice President of Maintenance & Engineering, you will provide strategic leadership and direction for all maintenance, engineering, and facilities management activities all of type of stores in company. This role involves developing and implementing comprehensive maintenance programs, optimizing equipment performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to support operational excellence. You will oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensuring adherence to safety standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices while managing budgets and resources effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic plans for maintenance and engineering functions to support organizational objectives and long-term growth strategies.
- Team Leadership: Provide visionary leadership to the maintenance and engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and accountability.
- Maintenance Management: Oversee the development and implementation of preventive maintenance programs to ensure the reliability and availability of critical assets.
- Engineering Excellence: Drive engineering initiatives to enhance equipment performance, optimize processes, and reduce downtime through innovation and technology integration.
- Facilities Management: Manage the maintenance and upkeep of facilities, infrastructure, and utilities to ensure a safe and productive work environment.
- Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant safety regulations, environmental standards, and industry best practices across maintenance and engineering operations.
- Budget Oversight: Develop and manage departmental budgets, forecasting expenses, and optimizing resource allocation to achieve cost-effective maintenance solutions.
- Vendor and Contractor Management: Establish and maintain effective relationships with vendors, contractors, and service providers to support maintenance and engineering activities as needed.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives, leveraging data analytics and performance metrics to identify opportunities for optimization and efficiency gains.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and hazards associated with maintenance and engineering activities, implementing risk mitigation strategies to ensure operational resilience.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Facilities Management, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Proven leadership experience in maintenance, engineering, or facilities management roles, with a track record of driving results and leading high-performing teams.
- Comprehensive knowledge of maintenance and engineering principles, practices, and technologies, preferably in a retail business.
- Strong understanding of safety regulations, compliance requirements, and environmental standards relevant to maintenance and engineering operations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with internal stakeholders, external partners, and regulatory agencies.
- Strategic thinker with the ability to develop and execute long-term plans, prioritize initiatives, and allocate resources effectively.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis, performance metrics, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Professional certifications such as CMRP (Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional) or PMP (Project Management Professional)
